Born in a Barn News - Grace Notes ...

It's been a year - a brill year - but the studio is now closed for business till the 2nd Jan 2012. Happy Christmas - here's a few bits from the last month:
We built the pod! We then equipped the pod with a spunky new imac7 and by hook n crook got a song completed which does sound ace. Shadows of You is a pop ballad about life after a heavy spit up. Thanks to Melissa for singing the track and it was pleasure to have Blitz studio's Jamie Conlon pop in to see us at the same time.
Caroline White got her video completed with our favourite filum maker Mr Barry Fitzgerald and very christmassy and cool it looks too. Before You Close Your Eyes can be watched on YouTube shortly. Well done Caroline, especially for agreeing to film it in this crazy cold weather.
Nearly all the Open Mic Exposure award winners have had their prize days at the studio and all have been excellent. Here's a pic of Pete Boddis - quite simply he just sits and plays and his musical magic is compelling. I did try to steal the Cajon but couldn't!!!

Then in the week we had our oldest ever recording artist in, Olive from Bell Green in Coventry is 86. She sang Amazing Grace and O Holy Night and very well too I might say. Later that day I saw Only Men Aloud sing both at the Birmingham Symphony Hall which was quite an eye opener.
Teresa G was back in for a solo session recently and sang Jar of Hearts & Ironic with so much ease she has been invited to work with us at RantProd in the new year.
