Mr Coventry 2011 contest winner Jordan Williams running for Mr ENGLAND 2011
Jordan Williams is the new kid on ze block alright, oh yeah. Confidently dubbed the Debonair Man (after one of his title tracks for the forth coming album) Jordan is pretty much unstoppable in his drive to become Mr England 2011. Not only this but his charming girlfriend is the Miss Coventry 2011 winner and together they make an amazing couple. The Miss England & Mr England contest has never had a couple in it before so this is attracting media attention already.
Jordan has recorded 3 albums at Born in a Barn Studio already with his past musical interests including his spectacular Michael Buble Tribute act, plus he was an X-Factor 2010 bootcamp finalist and most recently played the lead role in a local production of Copa Cabana as Tony - a songwriter!!
Jordan released his 1st track (Debonair Gambling Man) free on his website and added a video to show his talents as an actor. The video is to his debut charity release track 'Just Like A Film' - made to promote himself in the talent round of the Mr England finals - 19th July. A 3rd track is planned for release early August.
If you would like to VOTE for him in the Mr England finals please TEXT: 07MrCoventry to 84205 - texts cost 60p and half goes to the 'Beauty with a Purpose' charity - also you can watch the LIVE VOTING here. Voting ends 19th March 5pm.

Travelers Got Talent winner Olivia Ayres
At just 15 Olivia has sprung into the news with her lovely voice attracting the attention of quite a lot of the country as well as the national press.
Recently we were very pleased to help Olivia out on her climb to fame by letting her live out a dream of being in a studio and recording some tracks.
She recorded Blue (LeAnn Rimes), Valerie (Amy Winehouse) and Make You Feel My Love (Adele) - the session went very well with just her Mum and close friend from the Gypsy community Tracey Nedic of the Leicester Gypsy Council Liason Group.
The Coventry Telegraph were involved too and we agreed to host a song here for everyone to listen to! Sit back and enjoy - I think we will be seeing a lot more of Olivia this year as she wants to come back already, I suspect RantProd (see below) will be writing her a song very soon and of course when the 'Travelers Got Talent' show gets broadcast this year. There has already been plenty of media attention about this recently.

Tinie Tempah
Tinie Tempah/3Oh!3 "Don't Trust Me"
Atlantic Records - 3Oh!3 "Dont Trust Me" feat. Tinie Tempah

He was only here 4 hours but when you get a chart topping rapper like Tinie visiting, time moves fast.
Tinie Tempah is impeccably polite, absolutely precise about what he wants to record and knows exactly what sound he wants, but it was the biggest pleasure to advise on some parts and give constructive critisism as I would any vocal artist.
At about 6pm the tour left and I was left to do some rough mixes and send the files to the label. What an honour to work with such a big star.

The track is of course available on iTunes - just search the store for '3Oh!3 Don't Trust Me' and its the most popular remix.
Emily Burns
Emily is from Rugby and has had an exceptional year, managing to make it to the finals of the national competition Live & Unsigned playing at the Indigo2. She has featured on local radio staions and got major management companies interested in her.
The recordings she made with us are mostly all new as she tells me she is constantly writing new material. The song featured here is just voice and guitar although others had backing vocals and a couple of them were built up in the studio with drums and synth strings etc.
One of the things which is special about Emily is the way she expresses every single word in her songs. Its almost like she is talking to herself during the songs if you listen closely to the ends of lines. The songs are very personal and intense from start to end demanding the attention of the listener. Its no wonder she did so well in the recent Live & Unsigned competition and it seems highly likely she will go on to do much more.
Catch up with her on her Myspace page or see her live here at the Indigo2.

Karim Amri aka K2NSI
Karim is originally from the beautiful country of Tunisia and moved to Coventry around 11 years ago. He clearly has desires to return one day, although he seems happy here for now.
The 1st track he did with us is called 'Miss You Tunisia' and is very complex in its' vocal style/s. He has blended native Tunisian (arabic) with English, which is a bit different from most Tunisian rap that seems to centre on French with arabic. Obviously rhyming in 2 languages is a skill in itself. The track was built entirely with us, but we had a template beat to begin with then just got busy. So far it has received great praise both locally and in Tunisia and has been played on Jawhara Radio in Sousse.
Karim has been in for several sessions and the 2nd track 'No More Games' is also complete. This track is more about how life has changed for the better since being in the UK. The 3rd track is about the Tunisian girls and has some very special guest vocals!! The 4th track is to his Mum and very personal with some sampled guitars to make it moody and reflective.
Videos have been made for these 4 tracks already and can be found in YouTube plus a fully pro one being made by local company Chris C - Karim is focussed, determined and dedicated to the music. Not only that but, aside the stories of his past, he is a pleasure to work with and extremely patient.

Grace A Stein
It never fails to amaze me how creative young people are. It's not just bands & seasoned musicians or famous names I like to showcase here, so here is a bit about Grace.
Still at school but driven by music her dream is to have a career as a singer.
She has been playing the piano since she was 5 and has sung ever since she could talk.
Loves music & composing and has written many songs which is very impressive for her age.
Her influences are Christina Aguilera, Bjork and Alicia Keys.
With just 2 days in the studio she produced 3 songs, entirely her own, but hopes to do more as she has constantly got new ideas in her head. She played the piano effortlessly and sung with charm & passion offering many layered parts which she had never before been able to hear back, but could only imagine in her head. If she continues with this determination I'm sure Grace will be discovered soon.
